Heaven on Earth! The Manchester Arndale

I'm back from Manchester, and I really had a blast.
We spend some time with the family and after that we went shopping for a couple of days. 
Must say that I didn't buy as much as I thought I would buy..
It's always like that though, when you have the money to really go shopping, you can't find anything nice and when you're absolutely broke you want to buy everything you see. 
Anyhoo, I had fun anyway, drinking starbucks (I'm into coffee lately), strolling around town, bit of shopping here, bit of shopping there.


This is what I bought:
- American Apparel sweater
- Jumpsuit from Primark
- 3 skirts Primark (1 for Maureen as a gift)
- 2 belts from Primark
- Cardigan from River Island
- Scarf with cap attached to it from Primark
- Shoes from Ajvari (= local shoe market in the Arndale in Manchester)
- 2 rings from Primark (like the one you see in Maureen's post) 
- Gold coloured bangles from Primark


Now I see it,  Primark was kinda my thing.. 
But then again I already knew that cuz it is so darn cheap, I still can't believe it. 
I've already started saving money again, this time to buy Ugg boots.
I would love to have the Uggs Ultra Tall Chestnut or the Sundance (II) Chestnut.
It has got a really nice braid on the back, and the inside is made from real sheep's wool so my feet will never be cold again! (but first I have to save 250 quid! ohmy... gotta do some re-thinking there!)
Last year I had the Uggs Nightfall but I sold them thinking I won't be needing them anymore after winter.
I'm quite sorry about that now..
But on the other hand it's a really nice excuse to buy a new pair! 
Think I'll be posting my new buys soon.

Gotta love prints

Stippen.. rozen.. Allemaal zo leuk! Net als mijn mooie nieuwe camera. Ik hou serieus van bol.com. 12 megapixels, 10x optische zoom.. Nice!
Allemaal erg leuk natuurlijk, maar het leven begin vanaf vandaag weer. Mijn eerste college begint vanmiddag en ik ben serieus wel een beetje zenuwachtig. Naast al het leren en het maken van opdrachten is het ook echt een hel om leuke mensen te vinden om mee om te gaan. En met mijn mensenkennis wordt dat echt een ramp. Ik ben namelijk zo'n persoon die iedereen leuk vind bij de eerste ontmoeting. Om er na een paar maanden achter te komen dat diegene helemaal niet zo leuk zijn als ze zich voordoen. Goed voornemen: minder naïef worden!

Manchester here I come!

I'm off!
Tonight at 20:45 I'll be on a plane to Manchester with my boyfriend where we'll  be staying with his cousin and her cute 2 year-old daughter for five days.
It's a family/shopping trip and  I'm so looking forward to it!

My baby

Het weer hier in Nederland wordt steeds slechter. En ik moet aankomende maandag naar Ameland voor introductie van mijn nieuwe opleiding. Heb echt totaal geen zin om daar rond te rennen en zogenaamd leuke spelletjes te gaan doen. Maar moet toch de rest van de eerste jaars leren kennen. Ondertussen zit Marlies dan heerlijk in Manchester om haar kledingkast uit te breiden tot het maximum.
Maar! Belangrijker dan mijn stomme kamp is het feit dat ik een baby heb! Ze is nu 4 weken oud, 300 gram en heb haar geadopteerd voor €17,50! En zaterdag krijgt ze een zusje. 


ps: I really really want some Jeffrey Campbell wedges.

Oh happy day!

I bought these beige trousers at Zara today. I've been looking for them for a long time but I just couldn't seem to  find the right fit. But they finally showed up!
    I first tried on this one, and then another 5 but I went for my first choice after all (like I always do, *sigh..) 

I wasn't entirely sure about them though. They're a little short and I'm not really used to that.. It seemed a bit hard to wear.  But then I tried on this combo at home and I quite like it! So think I'll keep them after all ;) 

     Also, my boyfriend finally finished his night shifts after two long (véry long) weeks so that makes me a happy girl today! 

Just a week from now I'll be on an airplane on my way to Manchester, I can't wait!

Shit-list frustration

I've made a shit-list because I kinda needed it. 

Sooo, I'm going insane.

Why?

1. My boyfriend just started his 2nd week of night shifts: meaning waking up at 5am every morning for another week, then fall asleep again, wake up late in the afternoon and look like shit the rest of the day.

2. My neighbours suck, they're noisy. 

3. My back is killing me. And stupid enough, I refuse to go to the doctor. I'm not a big fan. And my job as a waitress carrying about 100 plates on my arms is not making it any better.

4. All four of my wisdom-teeth are getting pulled out in about 1 month. Great.

5. I've been saving (ugh!) all my money for my trip to Manchester in 2 weeks. Which is worth it, ofcourse, only a pain in-the-A right now. A girl needs to shop!

I also have a really(really!)-need-to-retrieve wish list

Here it is:

1. One pair of Ugg ultra tall or, Ugg Sundance boots (haven't made up my mind yet). Love em!

2. More high heels/wedges because I seem to live in my Zara wedges these days

3. Nice, beige harem trousers, but not one in where it lookes like you pooped your pants. 

4. A big scarf, you can never have to many scarves. 

5. A nice, fitting blazer, motivation » #4. 

6. A drape-skirt. I might make one myself but I need to buy a sewing-machine first.

7. A sewing machine, to DIY #6. 

That's it for now, but I think I'll add.

Ik heb gisteren een nieuwe parfum gekocht!

Al mijn andere parfums waren al een tijdje op en ik was dus hard aan een nieuwe toe (ik kan niet zonder).

Deze parfum had een collega van me en toen ik hem rook was ik er direct verliefd op.

De geur is heerlijk bloemig en het flesje is ook nog eens prachtig.

Jammer dat hij best prijzig is; een flesje van 30ml kost al €49,95

Mijn mams was zo lief om haar cadeaubon van de Ici Paris xl  aan mij te doneren

Ook was hij net in de aanbieding dus al met al heb ik er maar €29,95 voor betaald! 

Scheelt toch weer!

Maar ondanks de prijs is Chloé het zeker wel waard!

I bought a new perfume yesterday!

I finished all my other perfumes a while ago so I was in desperate need of a new one (can't go without). 

A collegae of mine wore this one when we were at work and when I smelled it I was sold. 

It's smells like lovely flowers and the bottle is just beautiful.

Too bad it's a bit expensive; a 30ml bottle is €49,95..

But my mum was being sweet and she donated her gift voucher from Ici Paris xl to me.

And I was lucky again, because the shop had it on offer!

So this time I only payed €29,95! Nice eh?

But despite the price, Chloé is definitly worth buying!

Chillax..

Vakantie! Een week lang ben ik verlost van mijn baantje als 'agent', of gewoon callcenter medewerker. Agent klinkt alleen veel stoerder en komt geschoold over. Naar mijn ervaring hebben klanten ook liever iemand aan de telefoon met dit als functie omschrijving. Ondanks het precies dezelfde functie is en de kennis van de callcenter medewerker ook gelijk ligt aan die van de agent.
Anyhoo, ik hoef me een week lang niet druk te maken om het draadloos internet probleem van een totaal onbekend persoon omdat ik in sauna - beautyfarm Midwolda zit. 

Ik ga nu dus hard relaxen! Het is 2 dagen, dus daar zit een overnachting bij in het bed and breakfast dat aan de sauna vastzit.
Ik kom hier ongeveer 2 keer in de maand en weet zo langzamerhand wel waar ik alles kan vinden. Ik was echter, tot vanmiddag, nog nooit in het voorhuis geweest. Jeez! Echt een plaatje. Ik dacht dat de sauna omgeving mooi was ingericht, maar dit kwam serieus rechtstreeks uit een lifestyle magazine (zie pics).
Hiermee kan ik met een gerust hart zeggen dat ik na deze 2 dagen de chill-modes niet meer uit kan zetten.

Holiday! For one whole week I'm released from my job as a 'agent', or callcenter employee. Agent just sounds better and more educated. Also, custumors rather have help from some one wit a pretty job discription. Eventhough the two are exactly the same.  
Anyhoo! I won't have to worry about a total strangers wireless internet problem this week. So now I'm going to chill out at the spa for 2 days! 2 days, meaning I'm staying there in their bed & breakfast for the night. I visit this sauna about 2 times a month and it is just beautiful. But I've never seen the bed & breakfast.. Jeez! It's so pretty! I felt like I was in some kind of lifestyle magazine. With this I'm sure that after these two days I will be totally relaxed..

Pilot - LiesMau kickoff!

Hooray! onze aller eerste post! 
We zaten al langer met het idee om een blog te gaan starten maar elke keer kwam het er weer niet van.
En nu eindelijk volgen wij het voorbeeld van beroemde blogs zoals  Le Blog de Betty en This Chick's got Style (who we adore!). 
Maar voordat we op dat niveau komen hebben we nog een lange weg te gaan.
We zijn al zo'n 5 jaar vriendinnen van elkaar en zien elkaar dagelijks. 
Ook hebben we de vreemde eigenschap om constant dezelfde soort kleding te kopen, dit zonder dat we het van elkaar weten. 
Voorbeeld: "Kijk, heb een nieuw jurkje!" » "haha, die heb ik vanmiddag nog in mijn handen gehad."
Meestal komt dit wel goed uit want we lenen vaak dingen van elkaar. 
We zullen samen berichtjes posten maar ook apart van elkaar met leuke foto's en update's.
We vermelden er ook bij waar we de kleren die we dragen op de foto's vandaan hebben mochten wij jullie inspireren ;)

Hooray! our very first post!
We've had the idea of starting a blog together for a very long time but never really pushed trough. 
Finally we're joining famous bloggers like Le Blog de Betty and This Chick's got Style (who we adore!)
But before we get to that level we have a long way to go ofcourse, since we've just started. 
We've been friends for about 5 years and we see each other on a daily basis. 
Also, we're constantly buying the same type of clothes without knowing it.
For example: "Look! I bought a new dress!" » "Haha, I've considered buying that one this afternoon."
Comes in handy because we borrow each others clothes all the time. 
We'll be posting together, but also apart with photo's and update's of our lives. 
We'll also tell you guys where we've bought the clothes that we're wearing in the photo's, just in case we're inspiring you ;)
